I grew up and spent most of my life in the south and moved to Seattle in 2007. I live with my husband on Capitol Hill (a neighborhood in Seattle, WA). During the day I manage clinical trials at a small biotech in Seattle and in my spare time I’m doing lots of cool stuff (well, I think it’s cool). It seems like I’ve been doing some of this “stuff” my entire life, at least my entire adult life (e.g., planning parties, making cocktails), but it’s the new stuff that inspired me to start this blog. Before Seattle there were a lot of things I had never (or rarely) done like pitch a tent, bake with yeast, cycle to work, make ice cream, etc. I wanted to share my experiences so you can join the fun too, or at least enjoy reading about it.
I should also tell you that I’m a math and science person which means my writing skills are not stellar. I’ll do my best, but hope your imagination can insert proper punctuation, grammar, and awesome sentence structure!
Enjoy,
K
